Our Ministries

Since 1990, Youth for Christ of Polk County has been impacting at-risk youth with over 24 different ministry sites, accomplishing its mission locally with these national ministry strategies.

  • The Bartow Youth Academy - A non-secure, residential treatment program for 28 male youth offenders, ages 14-18, who are committed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and in need of Borderline Developmental Disability Serverces.

  • B/C Boyz

Breakfast Club gets the boys started on the right foot for their walk with Jesus before school each Tuesday morning.

  • Girls Group/Ridge Girls/Sheriff's Girls Villa

All about girls becoming women of Christ.

  • Polk Halfway House

Youth For Christ is waging war against the spiritual enemies of Christ.

  • Summer Wilderness Camps

Christian camps held June to August for both boys and girls.

  • Juvenile Justice Ministries

JJM seeks to engage young people in relational outreach as they are met in a variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters). This strategy helps young people acquire and develop a way of living taught by Jesus Christ, balancing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.

  • City Life

City Life is an effective ministry model to transform the lives of urban youth, their families and the communities that they live in. The City Life model provides a strategic way to pursue every young person in high risk communities.
